10000 of those projects have been added this year so I think it's safe to say our prediction back in March was right - 2024 has indeed been the year of Musselburgh!

Inspired by a WWII era combination scarf and hat, Musselburgh is basically worked by knitting one hat from the top down and one from the bottom up, all in one long continuous piece. Once it's done you push one crown inside the other to create a comfortable, warm and versatile hat. I haven't yet made one long enough to do double duty as a scarf, but if you fancy it the recommended centre length was 36"!

The pattern can be used with multiple yarn weights, and no swatching is required. Simply cast on, then use the gauge of your wip to select the numbers for your size and gauge combo.
