🧶 Knitworthy pattern 2 is all about texture! 🧶

Hi Reader!

Meet the Crown-Shy Beanie, the latest pattern in Knitworthy 7!

If you've already purchased the collection check your inbox for a separate email with download links.

Haven't ordered the collection yet? You can now purchase Knitworthy 7 on both ysolda.com and Ravelry. You'll be able to download the Coracle Cowl and Crown-Shy Beanie patterns immediately after purchasing. The collection includes a total of 6 patterns: you'll receive a new surprise pattern in your inbox every other Thursday.

The Crown-Shy Beanie is a must-have for nature lovers who can’t help but pause to look up all around them. The intricate braided cables and dip-stitch leaves create a stunning three-dimensional texture, while the multi-layered brim ensures warmth and functionality.

The Crown-Shy beanie uses heavy DK or worsted weight yarn. You’ll work from the bottom up, beginning with a provisional cast-on. The folded brim is knit together, followed by a hidden section of ribbing that will keep the hat nice and snug on the head. Shaping is worked into the stitch patterns, bringing them together to form a star at the top of the crown. The pattern includes sizes for the whole family, and the folded brim can easily be substituted for a simple rib to give a different style to the hat.

Double dip stitch

I had so much fun with the stitch patterns in this project. If you haven't tried the double dip stitch yet it's so satisfying to watch those little leafs / hearts emerge. The technique is a little unusual, so I made a video in case that works better for you:
